ANBA Illawarra will be joining Alison Mellor from Paperbark Native Bees and holding a stall with kids craft & information on native bees. The event is a family friendly day of fun-filled nature based activities and entertainment. The Guardians of the Grassy Woodlands project is led by the Illawarra Ecosystems and Threatened Species Team (Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water) and is delivered as part of the New South Wales Saving our Species program. It is part of a landscape restoration project that includes research, survey, planting and protection of the endangered Illawarra Lowlands Grassy Woodlands.
