The next meeting comes from the Brisbane branch, on Sunday 5 September, 1 pm. The main event will be a talk by Jenny Thynne “The native bees of my Brisbane backyard, a photographic expose”. Jenny is a talented photographer, interested in all wildlife. Over the last few years she has become totally absorbed in the wonderful, constantly amazing micro world in her garden, particularly the native bees. In addition to capturing great shots, Jenny pursues their identities and digs into their lives, uncovering secrets of their flower choices, social life, natural enemies, and seasonality. Search for her on Flickr or Facebook to enjoy her works, or better still, attend this meeting, live or online, to hear her describe a selection of images.
All are welcome to attend in person, $5 fee for non-members. NOTE NEW VENUE: Bulimba Community Centre, 1 Barramul St, Bulimba, Brisbane. We will attend to some branch business following the talk from 2-3 pm. ANBA members can attend by Zoom, a link to join this meeting will be sent by email prior to the event.
